Steady, planted bass of Earth
Rippling, crashing tones of Sea
Strings of fire blaze with myrth
Through the Air and rocks and trees!
Sing the song that doesn’t cease
Feel it grow in its own right
Let the music set you free
Spirit-sound is giving-Life!
Stop the music if you dare!
Better let the music soar,
For vacuums only bring despair!
While music flows, creating more!

A stirring anthem of nature’s voice.
There is a deep rhythm and flow to the Earth, isn’t there, and you try to convey it through alliteration and syncopation.
I liked the meter and the idea of the elemental nature of music, perhaps sound in general. Better than the vacuum.
That’s pretty great right there.
There is so much music in this…. love what you can find in nature
Some say that the universe hums with a sound called ‘om.’ This is what your poem made me think of…that universal “music” that is a constant.
Lovely piece Crystal.
Let the music flow ~ Love this part:
Let the music set you free
Spirit-sound is giving-Life!
“Sing the song that doesn’t cease”….love that!
I can hear the music in this poem, Crystal, especially in the opening stanza. I haven’t been to choir in a few weeks due to various problems and really miss it, so I can feel those lines:
‘Let the music set you free
Spirit-sound is giving-Life!’
and
‘Better let the music soar,
For vacuums only bring despair!’
