I’ve been to a temple, a grand cathedral, and not noticed its splendor. Yes, so unaware was I that in the face of beauty, I saw nothing unusual. I’ve been there so often that I pass it by, heedless of what really happens within its walls. But today, or so it seems, the temple veil is lifted! And I see the beauty, the splendor, the blessing of this temple and cathedral that is mine.
bliss of nature shines

I really love the temple, both as a place, a house of worship, and the body of self… somehow I feel that if you search you will find.
OH I do like this! I like that the temple veil is lifted – puts me in mind of the ancient Jewish temple in Jerusalem and how the veil separated man from the Ark of the Covenant. the haiku is extra special in that you reflect the body as a temple as well. Excellent work!
Such a lovely experience you share in this haibun. The veil is lifted and awareness shifted and your haiku captures this beautifully :o)
Yes, when the temple veil lifts, we see things differently. A building is no longer just a place.
I loved the realisation of seeing the beauty before you. Well captured moment.
A voyage of self discovery beautifully crafted.
We take too much for granted including the beauty around us. Nice haibun.
That was an excellent reading for me.
