I have written songs,
Unrelated to each other
Yet related to me
And relationships I have,
Have had,
Or would like to have.
Love the Broken Ones
Salty Tears
Soul Reflection
Every song
Is a river –
Flowing,
Flooded,
Or longed for.
Cry me a river?
No, I cry my own
In song.
And I feel
Better
For the cry.
And the river of my life
Flows onward!

I agree. Crying is often therapeutic
Beautifully done! Yes rivers of song flow on and on from us.
You have a great voice and your music is beautiful. I especially liked Love the broken ones
A delicate and saccharine falsetto:) Was that a ukulele in the first two? I admire you for the ability to cry out your songs. Every time I try, well see, that’s the problem, I feel I’m trying to much so it doesn’t feel authentic. Thank God for other musical artists, and for poetry of course!
Thank you all so much for listening! I don’t get many chances to share my songs. Yes, that’s a ukulele. 🎶 ❣️
I love to cry Crystal.
I love your songs ❤ So glad you shared them.
It’s such a release when the pain turns into tears and floods out of you.The magic of music is that it triggers tears even without the pain.
True poetry, both your words and your music.
I enjoyed your beautiful songs, Crystal! “Salty Tears” is my favorite…love the idea of God in the kitchen of our life, using even our tears to flavor his special recipe 🙂
I love your songs and your poem.
I like the thought in the second song that God can use our salty tears in his recipes to add flavor to life. Very nice songs.
