When I was a child, someone gave me a dreamcatcher shaped like a hot air balloon. I was fascinated and intrigued by its woven texture and beads. I knew it should hang above my bed, but I didn’t want to hang it where I couldn’t touch it. Because I couldn’t look up at it, I kept it on my nightstand for a long time.
Many years later, I did hang the dreamcatcher, but it was not above my bed. Instead, it was along the stairway to my room, where I could touch it whenever I went up or down the stairs. I don’t have the dreamcatcher anymore, but I’m still enthralled by their intricate designs!

And so may it be!

I love your story about the dreamcatcher, and I am also enthralled by their intricate design. Lovely haibun and excellent last line to the haiku. Thank you so much for joining in.
