Falling, fading fast
Probe the dark for what remains
Light still burns within

The double I wanted in the first place, this A minor flute is lower than the hummingbird. It has a feather engraving and requires much more breath to play. This means playing shorter phrases and taking more frequent breaths. While I chose the hummingbird for its engraving and symbolism, this one is more practical for me. I play more in A minor and C major, which are very accessible keys on this flute. Having said that, these Nova Double Flutes are beautiful, and each has its place!

Dr. Crystal Grimes has a knack for reciting her poetry while playing one or more instruments simultaneously. She also writes beautiful, haunting melodies to accompany her poems. Here’s a good example of this for you to enjoy.
Abbie, thank you for reblogging this, for listening, and commenting! I really appreciate it!
You’re so welcome. Thank you for sharing your beautiful poetry and music.
My pleasure! I enjoy the FluteHaiku series and playing these beautiful flutes as solo instruments. There’s no mixing audio with these, so they take less time than some of my other pieces.
Stunning! Your Haiku is majestic. I LOVE the use of your introductory adverbs. It is fresh and strong – you poem and your music. The “ing” sounds are perfect.
Thank you, Lynda! It means a lot that you took the time to listen and comment!
