New Year’s Eve

Tonight’s another New Year’s Eve
With hope for better days to come.
Yet best intentions cannot be,
Unless we change what we have done.

There’s no redoing past, it’s true.
But letting go of what is gone,
No longer shaping what we do,
So we can keep on moving on.

You hold a wish, a prayer inside
For all you are and have not yet.
O seek your guidance that confides:
The way to change is step-by-step!

So on this night of New Year’s Eve,
Know each desire of your heart.
Believe in what you do not see,
And take one step to do your part!

Tonight‘s another New Year’s Eve
With hope for better days to come.
Yet best intentions cannot be,
Unless we change what we have done!

Three Things Challenge #829

Friend

You acted like you were my friend;
I shared my deepest mind and heart.
You took it all and tore apart
With hate I cannot comprehend.
So when I say this is the end,
You’ll shove my feelings on a shelf
Instead of looking at yourself…
Until one day you’re lonesome blue
And no one is a friend to you.
You dug your grave without their help!
