Yuletide, New Era, Rebirth Celebration

I celebrate Yule, though not with ritual as some Pagans, Wiccans and others do. My celebration is one of personal meditation and music.

Come this Yuletide, I’ll be adding thoughts. As 12/21/12 approaches, I feel excitement! Since “the end of the world” is not an option for me, I ask, “What is being born now?”

What do I want to see in my personal life? How do I want to feel? You notice I’m not saying what do I want to change? … No. Instead, I’m looking at the positive, from a standpoint of “it’s already done!” as we do in metaphysics.

I’ve said before that I sometimes combine Goddess and metaphysical spirituality. My foundational beliefs are metaphysical. The way I choose to relate to them, in song, ritual when I choose that, and symbols, is sometimes Goddess-centered. I have the form of a woman after all; so that makes sense to me right now.

On 12/21/12 I will sing songs by Ruth Barrett, celebrating Yule, the rebirth of the Sun, and the joyous turning of the wheel.

I’m also attending a virtual retreat by Brenda MacIntyre, Medicine Song Woman, to anchor more sacred feminine energy into my life and business.

I will meditate using the ZPoint process, to release resistance to change. And I intend to write a song or two myself!

I write, read, weave, speak, meditate, sing and celebrate to externalize and at the same time amplify, the spiritual connection I feel. Some of these things may work for you, too! If not, I ask you to enjoy this celebration in whatever way feels best for you!

As Brenda says, we can approach 12/21/12 with fear or with love or with anything in between! I choose love and excitement!

And you?

Letter from the Spirit of Truth

Dearest You,

I am the voice of the season. I am the Spirit of every season. I am within everything, and everything is within me.

I am within you. Who am I? Who are you? We are the Christ consciousness. We are a state of truth, love, peace, faith and knowing. I am that highest vibration. And your true nature is the same.

If at times you don’t feel lifted up, ask! Ask me, within you always, to lift you to this place of truth. You will be there, even as you ask. For this is the Kingdom. The Kingdom within you always.

Do not search outside yourself for upliftment. There may be tools – groups, others, things, activities – that amplify your good feelings. These are created in the image of truth, as you are. But without these tools, you are the same! You are truth, even without ministers, teachers, groups, friends, family, presents, food and more. You are truth – now and forever!

Seek the truth already within you. Your being is peace, love, hope, joy, faith. All the gifts of the season are yours right now.

Ask Me, ask the Christ, to lift you to where you can know and feel these gifts. And all these things and more will be added unto you!

You are love, as I am. You are light, as I am. You are life itself, as I am. And as you believe, so you receive. As you believe and feel the truth, it becomes visible in your life on Earth.

Ask! Write a letter to the Christ in You, and it will be answered!

Bless’d be!

Advent: Purity Consciousness

I was raised in a traditional Christian church, where we sang happy songs on Palm Sunday, had a sadder sermon around Good Friday, and then sang happy songs again on Easter. But there was always an overhanging layer of sadness for me, even in the Spring.

But during Advent, everything felt bright and beautiful. We sang traditional Christmas carols, and when I played music later, I continued that.

Recently I thought about why Christmas always felt so good to me. Why was Christmas Eve my favorite church service all year long? Why did I sing carols just a little louder than I sang anything else? And why could the simplest Christmas story bring tears to my eyes?

Well, as always, the answers came from within me. It’s the pure innocence of Christmas. I mean, let’s face it. The Christmas story is of a tiny baby with the power to save the world. How much more innocent does it get? I’m of the opinion that everybody loves a baby… 🙂 But no matter what you believe about Christmas, let’s think about the power of so many people believing the traditional story.

Here you have a story, like the legend of Santa Claus. But unlike Santa, no one says that baby Jesus has a naughty or nice list. That must be the “glad tidings of great joy” the angels sang about! 😀

Baby Jesus, or Christ consciousness, is there for everyone. Babies in general don’t care what you do or who you think you are. They couldn’t care less about how you identify yourself, your past, what your name is, what you’ve supposedly failed at, or how much money and stuff you have. Babies love, because they come from love and are still connected to that. Babies are not mind and body. They are fully immersed in their experience. And as babies, their experience is still oneness.

This oneness consciousness is always available to us! At Christmas time it becomes a mass consciousness – something more people than usual believe, something that dominates people’s thoughts, feelings, words and actions.

As you prepare for celebrations of your own, whether Christmas or otherwise, choose to make yours a purity consciousness. Be aware of your oneness with all people and things. Bless others and yourself, no matter what appears in your or others’ experiences. Love unconditionally, as the Christ child does. Because the Christ child was not born over 2000 years ago in Bethlehem. Christ’s birth is not a once-and-done thing. Christ consciousness, where love is the source and motivation of everything, can be born within you every moment of every day. And if sometimes Christ seems far away, that’s ok. Just choose, in this moment now, to bring your awareness back to love.

You don’t need to believe the Christmas story to reap its benefits! This message is for anyone and everyone who is willing to hear it, who finds it true, and who decides to live it. Because, what good is your religion or spirituality, if it doesn’t produce a better life for you?

I’m so Tired!: How to Feel Better Fast

Has the fatigue hit you yet? Winter blues maybe? Many people feel down, heavy, tired or listless this time of year, in the Northern hemisphere. And that’s ok!

Yes, I said it’s ok! It’s only “a bad feeling” if you think it is. Now hang in there and let me explain…

First, consider your words. Are you saying, “I am tired?” If so, then start there. Are you truly tired? The truth is that you are not tired. Your being, the Spirit at the center of who you think you are, is never tired. It is, and has, infinite energy! So even though you don’t feel it right now, think about the truth that you are not tired.

If you need to talk about it, which of course adds tired-feeling energy to you (and we all know you want to “be” more tired, right?), then say, “I feel tired.” Put the accent on “feel,” because tired is just a feeling. “Right now I feel tired.” Ok. Fine. You feel tired right now. Accept that. Then stop talking about it and move on.

But move on…to what? To how you want to feel, of course! You want to feel full of energy? Happy? Excited? Pick a feeling you’re familiar with. You know, you felt it long ago, before you felt so tired. Go ahead, pick one!

Maybe you can’t jump right from “I feel tired” to “I feel___.” Guess what? That’s ok too! So choose a feeling just a little bit further in that — direction. The self-talk might go something like this–use your own words though, because it will mean more to you:

“I feel tired.”

“I feel tired right now.”

“I don’t always feel tired…”

“Yes I do, I always feel tired this time of year!”

“But I don’t feel tired —” When? In Spring? Summer? At parties? Remember a time when you don’t feel tired and fill in that blank.

“I don’t feel tired in Spring.”

“I feel invigorated in Spring.”

“I feel full of life.”

“I feel happy.”

“I feel like anything is possible.”

“I feel excited.”

“I feel —” put in the feeling you desire.

See how we moved from “I am tired…” way back there, to “I feel excited right now?”

This is called Socratic Logic. You’ve probably heard of affirmations – positive, present-tense statements of universal truth. But sometimes, when we use affirmations, we’re not in a place where we can actually feel like they’re true. So even though affirmations are great tools, they don’t help us if we can’t feel like they’re true. In fact, they feel so untrue that we have angry feelings instead of positive ones!

We can use Socratic Logic to get to a place where we feel the truth of an affirmation. It may take quite a few steps. (Say it with me…) And that’s ok! The point is to get to a better feeling, and to keep moving forward. In order to move forward, we need to acknowledge where we are right now. And if that’s “I’m tired,” then that’s where we start.

Abraham says it takes only 10 minutes to get to a better-feeling place. All right Abe. Me? Sometimes I’ve counted 10 hours before I truly felt better. But no matter how long in physical, linear time this takes, it’s so worth any effort to finally feel good!

Create Rituals to Enjoy

Gathering on Thanksgiving and eating turkey – even though some of us don’t really like it, blowing out birthday candles, celebrating the full moon, attending religious or spiritual services, brushing your teeth… These are all rituals.

Good ole Merriam Webster says ritual is “done in accordance with social custom or normal protocol.” There are religious/ceremonial definitions as well, and my own… “Something we do routinely or out of habit” and the unspoken “without thinking much about its meaning.”

Is this good? Well, it isn’t bad. However, if ritual is only done because it’s always been done, or because it’s what we should do, then maybe it’s time to re-think our rituals.

What we do is not nearly as important as why we do it. Why do you have a Thanksgiving feast? Your reasons are none of my business, and I won’t guess what they may be. I will only ask you: Do those reasons feel good?

If so, full steam ahead! If not, you have an opportunity here. Choose not only what you will do on Thanksgiving, but choose your actions from a place of pure intention. Not a place of others’ expectations, or your own past actions, but a new, clear place.

What feeling do you want to evoke on Thanksgiving?

Got one? Ok. Then do something that amps up that feeling. Do you want to feel grateful? Surrounded by love? Connected to family and friends? Feel it first. Then choose actions and activities, places and people that add positive strength to that feeling.

This is not just a Thanksgiving post. Think about other rituals in your life. The teeth brushing… Well, you’ll probably keep doing that. 😀 But how do you feel when you do? If it’s something you believe you just have to do, it most likely doesn’t feel very good, and you’re not so grateful for that toothbrush. However, if it adds positive strength to your physical body, helps your teeth appear the way you like, etc, then you’re changing the feeling behind that ritual.

You may not want to change your religious, spiritual, or family rituals. I ask only that as we approach the holiday season, you attend these rituals consciously. Notice how you truly feel about them. If you have good feelings, enjoy them! If you have negative feelings, now is your opportunity to turn them around. Perhaps changing your feelings will lead to new rituals, spending time with different people, or leaving behind some old traditions that no longer feel good.

Above all, no matter what you choose to do this holiday season, know that you do have a choice. Feel no pressure to do what you’ve always done. And feel no pressure to change! Just observe your feelings. Turn up the good ones and meet the less-than-good ones with compassion and love.

As for me, I’m not doing the turkey thing this year!

Autumn Transitions

According to Google and dictionary.com, transition is:

noun /tranˈziSHən/  /-ˈsiSHən/
* The process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another
* A passage in a piece of writing that smoothly connects two topics or sections to each other
* A change of an atom, nucleus, electron, etc., from one quantum state to another, with emission or absorption of radiation

And just for the record, transition is also a stage of labor – one when mothers are often just about ready to throw in the towel and refuse to take any more… “This baby either comes out, or it stays in, but I’m not having any part in it!” Often accompanied by, uh, shall we say, strong words.

We may not use strong words to describe our transitions, so we think that’s good. The thing is, we still have strong thoughts. When something is changing, we can feel unsettled, uncomfortable, disconnected. We may feel like we’re floundering, or in limbo. All these feelings are fine, worthy of acknowledgment, and – here it comes – normal.

As nature transitions from Autumn to Winter in the northern hemisphere where I live, I’m realizing how I, and you, can use this transitional time to our advantage.

Transition is “The process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.” That means it will pass. If you feel unsettled or uncomfortable, like you don’t know what’s coming next, remember that it’s just a phase.

This could comfort you, or bring up anger. If transition makes you angry, that’s ok. Anger is not wrong; it’s a valid feeling and should never be suppressed. Acknowledge to yourself, “I feel angry!” And let yourself feel that way. You may consider using ZPoint or another meditation or breathing technique to help you find a better feeling when you’re ready.

The key is to feel better when you’re truly ready: not when you think you should, and especially not when anyone else thinks you should! This is your time.

Transition is “A passage in a piece of writing that smoothly connects two topics or sections to each other.” Do you feel smoothly connected? Probably not – but you can.

Think of how nature moves in cycles. The wheel turns through each season, each year. The moon goes from new to full and back again. The sun rises and sets.

Yet, no matter what we see, there’s always another side. When we see the dark moon, someone else sees the light face. When the sun has set for you, it’s rising for someone else. When it’s Winter in your environment, somewhere else it is Summer.

Consider that we are all connected, as much as all nature is connected. If you’re looking for the smooth connection that transition claims in writing, try to look on the smooth side. Even if you can’t see smoothness in your own life right now, entertaining the possibility that smoothness exists will help. Somewhere, someone feels smoothly connected through a transition. If you can believe that, you can more easily accept that smoothness for yourself.

The third definition is the most interesting. Transition is “* A change of an atom, nucleus, electron, etc., from one quantum state to another, with emission or absorption of radiation.” I won’t speak to the radiation aspect, but there is spiritual truth here.

Let’s say transition is the change of something from one quantum state to another. Quantum particles are tiny and can’t be seen by human eyes alone. So maybe the result of a transition in your life can’t be seen either. It could be an emotional transition, where you become stronger, more confident, more ready to receive love, etc. It could be spiritual, as you realize your inner power. Transitions can be mental as well. Though eventually they reep physical results, initially the change is within, on a seemingly quantum or tiny level.

Quantum particles must change in order to change the big picture. In order to see a different color chair, quantum particles must be in different orders than they were when we saw a blue chair, for instance. In the same way, as we change inwardly, as our spiritual particles re-align, the outward picture changes.

Transition is natural; change is inevitable. To ride the wave of transition smoothly, it’s important to consciously re-connect with our roots. Connect with nature; spend time in meditation or prayer. Talk and listen to God, or God-within. Everything you need to navigate this transition is already there. Ask for it, even if you don’t know what exactly you need.

Use affirmations: I ask for and receive all I need for a smooth transition. I ride the wave of transition, knowing the tide of life works for my good.

ZPoint: 4 Parts to Inner Peace

ZPoint is a simple and effective healing and clearing process. It has 4 main components that are described below.

1. ZPoint clearing program.

Also called a cleansing or healing program, this is just a set of action statements. The first time you use ZPoint, you will either read them, or they will be read on your behalf. Both ways are equally effective. The ZPoint clearing program is completely benign and is the basis of the process. It tells everything else how to work together. You only need to read or hear it once, and it will stay with your subconscious mind forever. This is the part of your mind that stores dreams, past events, memories, beliefs and more.

2. ZPoint cue word.

The cue word triggers the healing program to work. Like a light switch, it turns the program on. You can use any word as your cue, or change it any time. However, we recommend a word that doesn’t evoke an emotional response. Some good words are yes, thank you, and peace.

3. ZPoint releasing circle.

ZPoint requires an imaginary circle. Also called a clearing circle, you can visualize it as a well, a pot, a hole, a bubble, or anything else. The releasing circle is simply a tool, where you intend (put or imagine) the feeling you want to clear.

4. ZPoint clearing statements.

Clearing statements bring up things in the subconscious mind. One is, “I clear all the ways I feel that feeling.” “That feeling” is the feeling you intended into the releasing circle. Your subconscious mind is smart, and it’s your servant. When you tell it to clear all the ways, it does so, without question.

There are several clearing statements in ZPoint. All are designed to reach every aspect of a feeling, issue, circumstance, relationship, and anything else you put into the releasing circle.

ZPoint releases the need to be specific about what you’re clearing. With some other processes, you need to choose specific events or memories and clear their emotional charge individually. But ZPoint is so open-ended that it works well with general clearings. These general clearings of “that feeling” are just as effective as a specific clearing of, for instance, “my 18th birthday party” would be.

Your only job in ZPoint, after you fill the releasing circle, is to repeat your cue word. Is it simple? Yes! Is it repetitive? Yes! But does it work? Yes, try it for yourself!

Throat full of Song: Communication Prayer

This is a stream of consciousness piece. Notice how it starts focusing on what I don’t want – a tight throat and the inability to speak. A feeling that I can’t speak because what will others think?

Then, it moves into what I do want – a clear throat.

Finally, the flow moves to how it feels to be free, able to speak, and connect with others.

This is affirmative prayer. It must start somewhere, and the only place to start is where we are. Here, it starts with pain that is physical, but over all, emotional. But as long as we move from that consciousness of pain and victimhood, it’s all good!

May this prayer facilitate your own shift in consciousness, whether about the words you speak, or anything else.

Metaphysical Communication Affirmative Prayer

What can I say about words? I can’t, because I have no words to say. SO how can I say anything? Or how can I say something? What I mean is, how can I speak, how can I bring myself to speak? I don’t even know what it is I need to say. What would be healthy? What would serve my highest good?

And when I figure it out, how can I say it? I feel so tight. So closed. But at the same time, I know I need to speak. Well, I know I need to speak because if I don’t, this tight feeling will stick around. And I don’t want that.

What I want is a free-feeling throat, open, a vessel of cummunication. An empty vessel, through which all things flow that are good, true, and so on. I listen with this free and clear throat center, and I speak from it. Free and clear, open and honest, firm and gentle. Not worrying, not wondering what others will think if I speak or if I don’t.

My throat is open; with love, I affirm this now. And as far as finding out what to speak, that comes from intuition, from the great power within. All beauty, light, love, peace and joy come from this powerful source. And I affirm now, in perfect peace, that that source, is my source. I accept and receive all that is good from source, that is only good.

My words flow effortlessly. I listen effortlessly. I love unconditionally, and I enjoy life. All communication flows unimpeded through me, and I revel in gratitude as I connect with myself and others. And so it is!

How Important is Clarity?

Have you ever known something for sure? That’s the one, no questions asked, bingo, you got it, that’s true, I know this? I’m sure you have. And when you did, you were experiencing clarity. You felt sure, comfortable, secure, and it was something you held onto (in a good way).

To me, clarity involves faith, assurance, comfort and joy. These are all good feelings, and clarity is a good thing.

On the other hand, have you ever felt wishy-washy about something? Not sure of what you wanted, uncertain, floundering, experiencing ups and downs, kind of like a see-saw, but no fun? You weren’t experiencing clarity then.

Clarity is very important, and I don’t just mean in “big” things like large (read: expensive) purchases, choosing a relationship partner, having children, etc. Even in what you want for breakfast. Just try going to a restaurant, where you specifically have to tell someone what you want. If you don’t, you may get something totally different. If you ask for scrambled eggs, you’ll get scrambled eggs. But if you just ask for eggs, there could be a restaurant where they serve raw eggs… You probably wouldn’t order those, but if you weren’t clear about what you did want, then who’s to blame for the raw eggs? You, and your lack of clarity.

I’m putting this out there now, because I’ve experienced anything but clarity lately. So what did I receive from the beloved Universe? More un-clarity, questions, wonderings, floundering feelings. It was what most people might label “bad” – unpleasant feelings, mixed experiences, etc. But fortunately, I re-discovered how important it is to be clear about what I want. It’s not hard – well, not if I don’t make it hard for myself! But being clear is the one thing required in manifesting the life I want, the life you want, and good for the world in general.

Be clear, have fun, and be joyful in receiving the good that is yours!

Which Path is Mine?: Choosing the Right Direction

Whether you’re deciding between two things you could buy, finding a spiritual community, choosing a relationship partner, or anything else in life, you’re on a path. But is there a right path and a wrong path? Do “the cards” just fall where they will? Or do you alone determine your destiny?

I’m asking myself these questions, even as I try to bring you some intellectual understanding of possible answers. But these possible answers are truly the key. Anything is possible! No path is pre-determined as either yours or mine. I do think we come into this world asking for certain experiences, for particular people to be in our lives, etc. But I also believe that as we think, react or respond to things, and have different feelings and emotions, we determine our future path. What we think, do and feel today, determines what we’ll experience tomorrow. And not necessarily tomorrow, as in the next day of the week, but tomorrow, meaning in the future.

If you’re facing a hard decision now, it’s because of what you’ve thought in the past. For instance, if you can’t decide which car to buy, it’s because you’ve had undecided thoughts about it. “I could buy this one. It’s…” Fill in whatever that one is that you find special. “But that one has…” And then you start up with, “Is one better than the other? Less expensive? Made elsewhere?” And because you’re asking these questions, by virtue of the Law of Attraction, you receive… not answers, but more questions!

I’m not saying we should stop asking questions! I’m suggesting that the best course may be to take the questions into meditation. Imagine them into a container, a circle, or something else that keeps them in one place. Put in the questions you consciously have, and all undecided parts of yourself. And do a clearing meditation. As thoughts come up, let them pass by you, into the clearing vessel. Asking questions is great; getting caught up in them doesn’t feel good.

So, is there a right path? In my evolving beliefs, no. There is alignment, where you take the path of least resistance. And there is misalignment, where maybe you take a more difficult path. But in the end – whatever that is! – I believe we are all where we need to be, when we need to be there. In other words, whatever path you take, you’ll “come out all right in the end.” And you truly don’t need to wait for the end! You’re coming out all right now, just by being aware that you have choices, but also that you don’t need to get caught up in always choosing the very best, with your intellectual, so-called logical mind.

Make a decision now! Buy that car, enter into that relationship, try out that spiritual community! You don’t have to stay there forever. All things in the physical are “just for now” anyway. SO enjoy them!

Thanks for bearing with me as I come to some peace of mind myself on these points!

Many blessings, now and always, on your own ever-changing path!
