Length: About 5 1/2 minutes

Crescent moon,
Shining through the golden break of dawn.
Crescent moon,
Lighting every tender dream begun.

Teach me to know the nature of flowing life;
Living and real, the dreams that I feel inside.

Crescent moon,
Shining through the shadows of the trees.
Crescent moon,
Lighting up the path that’s right for me.

My intuition gives me a mission sure;
Help me to live the part I am given ever more!

Crescent moon!

Self-love Meditation

The coming month of February is all about marketing–I mean, Valentine’s Day…

We must absolutely let our loved ones know how much we love and appreciate them! But love has so many other forms than romantic love, and these are often overlooked.

Self-love is perhaps the most neglected of all. And yet, it is the most important! Self-love is not selfish; on the contrary, it is our very Lifeforce! Self-love means recognizing that the Power of the Universe, God/Goddess, Spirit, etc, not only created us out of love, but also continues to dwell within us… as Love. Self-love is Universal Love. It protects and sustains us, whether we experience other types of love in our lives or not.

With this in mind, I offer you this self-love meditation. Please speak and behave kindly toward yourself, even in a tiny way, every day during the month of February, and always!

“Ye Banks and Braes”

Good Burns Night!

Let’s take a moment to celebrate the poet, Robert Burns! And let’s do so with two very unique instruments–the Kelhorn and the Gemshorn.

I’ll explain more about these instruments later. Suffice it to say that the Kelhorn is a modern invention, but modeled after a Renaissance instrument called the Crumhorn (crooked/hooked horn). It sounds a bit like bagpipes, but without the drones.

The Gemshorn is related to the ocarina and the recorder. It’s a flute, not having a double reed like the Kelhorn, and is much quieter and takes less pressure to play.

Again, I’ll share these more in depth later on. And you will be hearing more of them. Not sure if you consider this good news–or not!

Meanwhile, please enjoy “Ye Banks and Braes” played on these impish but fascinating little instruments, along with Ocean Drum!
