I call this a fingerstyle improv because it’s based on a ukulele fingerpicking pattern. I play this on 16-string solid body BJL lyre

Grant us Love – BJL Lyres
This is a tune I wrote called Grant Us Love. Here is the simple melody played on 7-string pentatonic lyre, both plucked and with Pickaso Guitar Bow.
Tuning: D4, E4, F#4, G4, A4, B4, D5. Note: If you play the melody without harmony, you can play in the standard G major pentatonic tuning of D4, E4, G4, A4, B4, D5, E5.
Arrangement on 16-string solid body lyre.
Double strung arrangement on 2 19-string acoustic lyres.
Aeolian Dream on Lyres
This is an original piece that was part of my Therapy Harp Training Program first semester final exam. I play it here first on Lynda Lyre, as I did for the exam.
19-string acoustic BJL Lyre, with left hand range modifications
16-string solid body BJL lyre, so you can hear more left-hand range modifications if you listen closely
And lastly, my double strung arrangement on 2 19-string acoustic BJL lyres
Birth of Spring Improv
Just a little improvisation to celebrate the Spring Equinox, whether or not the weather agrees! Played on Lynda Lyre and called Birth of Spring.
And a different one on 19-string acoustic BJL lyre that I call Beginning to Bloom.
Aeolian Improv – 16-string Lyre and More
16-string solid body BJL lyre. The volume of this instrument is impressive, especially without a sound box!
And on Lynda Lyre with nylon strings. This is a similar improv, but may or may not be the same… My intention was not to make it the same specifically, but if it is, that’s OK too!
And of course, double strung, played on 2 BJL 19-string acoustic lyres.
Fairy Song on Lyre
This is a tune I wrote to go with a poem a few years ago. It sounds lovely and more magical, I think, on a lyre with steel strings. This one is a 7-string BJL pentatonic lyre in G Major.
The same lyre played with Pickaso Guitar Bow.
