There’s nothing like a brownie mix,
Especially when you are sick!
It’s hard to taste… It’s hard to smell…
But brownies get you feeling well!
And if they’re chocolate, all the better!
Soon you won’t be under the weather.
They’re quick to make and quick to eat.
Admitted: You deserve a treat!
There’s nothing like a brownie mix,
And then you have the bowl to lick!
This is an old French folk song, played first on 16-string solid body BJL lyre.
Pentatonic 7-string BJL lyre, both plucked and with Pickaso Guitar Bow.

And my double strung arrangement played on 2 19-string acoustic lyres.

Worry cascades
Down and out… To the Earth…
Where it transforms into the Light
Of peace.

A-ticking, a-tocking flies time!
So seize the day; give it your best!
Don’t worry if it doesn’t rhyme.
A-ticking, a-tocking flies time!
You might have to stop on the dime,
Or fail when you’re facing a test…
A-ticking, a-tocking flies time!
So seize the day; give it your best!
Forest Mystery is a piece I wrote last year to try out the G minor melodic scale. From C tuning, tune all B strings to Bb and all F strings to F#. Enjoy it played on Lynda Lyre with nylon strings, as originally written.
19-string acoustic lyre. I really prefer this piece with steel strings.
16-string solid body lyre. Notice the modified left hand without the F#3.
And my double strung arrangement played on 2 19-string acoustic lyres. To me this is the most beautiful and mysterious of all.
I was once a tree
Now I am your instrument
Beauty scene and heard
16-string solid body lyre
And a fun double strung arrangement on 2 19-string acoustic lyres.
Blessed Mother Earth,
I hear you crying out in pain.
Blessed Mother Earth,
You are my home, and since my birth
Your steadfast love is not in vain.
You keep me; may I do the same,
Blessed Mother Earth!
