Another remix,
“Dusk”
was written in July. Again, I played the original on alto recorder, but wrote it with Native-American style flutes in mind.

I wrote and posted “Network of Stars”
here
in July. It was played on double strung harp and alto recorder. However, I wrote the piece for Native-American style flutes in the minor pentatonic scale. So, today I play it on ukulele and 432HZ flutes from High Spirits. You’ll hear first the A minor flute, then the bass in E minor. Enjoy the Koshi Aria/Air, Koshi Ignis/Fire, and Zaphir Twilight/Autumn chimes as well!

Recognizing Labor Day in the United States, and for anyone – everyone! – who is about the Father’s business (Luke 2:49).

Fresh, green Air and yellow Fire
Combining to fulfill desire!

Let the Air take pain away,
Replaced with Fire’s gentle rays.

Take a breath and be transformed
To more than you have been before!

Within your belly Fire’s flame
Is burning for your special aim.

The Air that keeps your thoughts inspired
Is fanning flames of true desire.

O let the Fire and Air renew
The purpose Spirit has for you!

“Bringing in the Sheaves” #Music

Knowles Shaw wrote this hymn in 1874. The text is based on Psalm 126:6, which reads: “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” It’s considered an American Gospel song and Protestant Christian hymn. Although Shaw did compose music for his lyrics, the hymn is most often sung to the tune played here, composed by George Minor in 1880.

Today I play Oriole (soprano) Recorder accompanied by ukulele, then solos on zither, lyre, and double strung harp. These solo instruments are all stringed instruments with a very similar range. However, you can hear that they have very different sounds, and the double strung harp can play lovely effects and arrangements that the zither and lyre cannot.

I wrote this instrumental piece on alto recorder, disguising itself as a Native-American style flute. I.e. playing only the A minor pentatonic scale. If you have no idea what that means, please feel free to ignore it! 🙂

Said recorder is accompanied by ukulele, bamboo/smokebush Harmony Rattle, and Egg of Creation shaker. The intro and ending are Zaphir Sunray/Summer and Koshi Aria/Air chimes.
