Blessing Prayer – Prayer of Jabez

And they said to him, The LORD shall surely bless you and enlarge your territory, and his hand shall be with you and shall deliver you from evil, that it may not have power over you, and he shall grant you that which you request of him.”
1 Chronicles 4:10 (Lamsa Bible)

Blessing Prayer – Lyrics

Instrument: Yamaha NP31 76-key digital piano

Oh, that you would bless my soul
And may my reach be great by your command!
Oh, that I may always go
Upon the path that’s guided by your hand!

Oh that you deliver me from evil,
That it’s power over me is past!
Oh that I may know you in my mind and soul,
That you grant the things I ask,
Oh that you grant the things I ask!

The Holy Spirit in Metaphysics: Who is it and what does it Do?

Picture this. A person without form. Not just an invisible person, because maybe we can imagine that. (H.G. Wells anyone?) This is a formless person.

Can’t picture that? Well good, because that’s not what the Holy Spirit is! In Metaphysics the Holy Spirit is not a person. It is formless of itself. It’s simply substance. In order for Holy Spirit to take form and do something, it must be instructed.

So, Holy Spirit can be said to be the Law itself. It is impersonal and formless, makes no decisions, and has no thoughts.

Mysterious, isn’t it? Aptly enough, it’s also called the Holy Ghost!

Holy Spirit is the substance, the feminine, receptive aspect of the Trinity, that simply–bear with me, ladies!–takes what it is given. It is a vessel. It carries out what it has been sent to do.

But it cannot and does not work, unless it is instructed to do so. The Holy Spirit is an inseparable partner to the Father–God-Mind which instructs it–and the Son–the idea that it is to carry out.

The Law has been called the Law of Love, and the Law of Mind. The Holy Spirit is both these things. It is Love, pure and simple. And it is Mind-substance, the stuff that is stimulated by Thought.

Holy Spirit is the Power of Father (Thought) and Son (the idea of the Father-Mind) that goes forth to manifest the idea.

The Holy Spirit is the breath that gives life to manifest ideas. This breath is sent by the Father to do “this work,” a certain thing. It is not random in its work, and indeed as has been said, Holy Spirit cannot work, cannot even exist, on its own. It is an integral, receptive and loving aspect of God.

From personal experience I know that the Holy Spirit is that feeling that descends when you need it most. If I specifically ask to be comforted, I am comforted. That comforter, as it is also called in the Bible, is the Holy Spirit. It has come because it has been asked to do something. “Holy Spirit, comfort me.” Whether or not you call upon it by this name, it is the same power of divine Love, come to offer peace.

Now picture this: A dove flying overhead. This is another symbol of the Holy Spirit. Only the purest prayer, spoken or cried out by the soul, can bring down the Holy Spirit. And it will always come, because it has been asked and welcomed.

May your relationship with God, as your own Higher Self, be enriched and deepened through the Holy Spirit!

Who Does the Work Around Here?

Metaphysical message, meditation and treatment for health in honor of Labor Day. We all have work to accomplish here, but who really does it? Listen in and find out!

Invocation

I call forth God’s presence, from the center of my mind. I release all negativity from the past week, and open myself to God-thoughts, inspired action, and peace of mind and heart. I allow God to work through me, and flow through me to others. I give thanks that at any time, I can bring my focus back to God’s presence, within me always. As I let it be so, so it is!

Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)

Affirmations

Recognition – I recognize that God is the ultimate doer. Nothing is separate from God, and nothing is accomplished apart from God.

Identification – I unite my mind with the Power of God to accomplish all that is mine to do. I know this Power is within me and is naturally mine. I claim it now by focusing my attention and awareness on God-Power.

Realization – I realize God-Power in my life. I see it expressed in my personal and professional relationships, my family life, my job and career, my hobbies, and all aspects of my life. My entire life is God’s life individualized, and God is the conductor and orchestrator of everything.

Acceptance – I accept God’s direction in my work and life. When I think I deserve credit, I turn inward. I give up my personal ego and its will, and give credit where it is due–to God. When others give me credit for accomplishments, I graciously thank them and gratefully give credit, as Jesus did, to “the Father within me who doeth these good works.”

Matthew 5:1-12 (NKJV)

Affirmation

I bless God as Supreme Creator. And I bless each creation as an expression of God. My attitude of blessing is made and maintained by God. I bless others by the Power of God working through me. For each blessing given and received in and through my attitude, I give thanks. And so it is!

Oneness Meditation Treatment

I recognize that there is but one Life in this Universe. That Life is God’s Life, and that Life is my Life now.

God is Love. God is Power. God is Good. God is Cause. God is Eternity. God is Infinity.

God is Source. God is Substance.

God is Beauty. God is Peace. God is Joy. God is Breath.

God is Spirit. God is Energy. God is Lifeforce. God is One. God is All.

God is Universal. God is Cosmic. God is Creator. God is Creation. God is Love.

I unite my mind with God-Mind now, knowing that I am already one with Higher Consciousness. Because God is Consciousness, and God is All.

There is no separation between God and my Life, that is God-Life individualized. God is All there Is, now and always.

I declare, therefore, that God is living as me and through me in this moment. There is only one moment in Life. That is the Eternal Moment.

I align my mind with the Eternal Moment. I open myself to know, think, feel and experience all the good that God is, and has for me. God wants to manifest fully, through me. Otherwise I would not exist.

I know that there are many paths to God, and I know that my own path can and will evolve. For this I give thanks!

I realize that Divine Guidance and Order are at work in my life, because God is my Essence. Therefore, as my path evolves, I affirm and seek within for that Guidance. As I align with it, I receive it, through any and all channels.

I give thanks to God when I receive any and all good, no matter how small it seems. Because all Good is God, and all God is Good. The Essence of my Being is God.

For this realization and experience of being one with God, I give thanks!

I let it be so in this eternal, infinite moment that appears as my individual life, and beyond.

And so it is!

Treatment for Love

Treatment to sublimate feelings of anger with those of true, divine Love

You are a divine being whose true nature is love.

You came from love, were created out of love, are made of love, and can experience love now.

You are one with love. You are one with permanent, unchanging, transcendent love, now and always, in this eternal moment that is your life. Through this love, you live. Within this love, you move and have your being. As love, you came forth as a human person. And in love you can choose to live, aware now of your divine nature.

May the Light of Love surround, enfold and guide you in every action, word, thought and experience of this, your life on earth.

May you feel blessed, and loved always.

May you let it be so, believing in the all-seeing, all-knowing, ever-present Power of divine Love. For as you allow it to be so, so it is.

Four Steps to “Be Here Now”

This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. –Psalm 118:24

This day, this moment, is new! We’ve never been here before, and we’ll never be here again! TO make the most of this moment, this day, this week, this year, there are some steps we can take to truly “be here now.”

1. Recognize God’s presence.

You can call it God, Universal Consciousness, Spirit, Shekhina, Allah, Goddess, or anything else you like. But recognize it. Acknowledge it for what it is–Creator, Source, Life. It is what creates all things, what all things are made of, and what makes all things “tick.” Recognize that; know it within yourself, and make it real to you.

2. Declare it within you.

Proclaim and affirm that this Presence of All-There-Is, exists within you. Why wouldn’t it? You just recognized that it is within all things. Yet somehow we’re good at saying, “But not within me…” This is total falsehood and spiritual foolishness! That Presence, that Great Spirit, is as much within you as within anything else. It’s not just for the Chosen Few. It’s for each Chosen One, and that would be you! Affirm that God is within you. Make that declaration, and make it confidently.

3. Identify ultimate reality.

Invoke spiritual reality from within yourself. This means letting go of appearances, outward conditions, and negative thoughts. It means going beyond these things–which is why we call this metaphysics. “Meta” meaning beyond; “physics” meaning physics itself, or physical existence. Guide your own mind beyond appearances, and identify your True Self. In spiritual reality you are whole on all levels of your being. You are love, peace, happiness, abundance; you are all good. Stay with this until it becomes real to you.

4. Accept the healing of your mind.

Now, receive! You’ve asked for something from the Universe. It would be counter-productive and spiritually rude to turn it away! So, consciously accept this oneness and wholeness as your new life. Give thanks that it’s already real in Universal Mind, and that it’s manifesting in your life now.

This process is many things. It is the steps in metaphysical prayer treatment or affirmative prayer. It’s also a way to give up the personal ego. The part of us that fears, doubts, worries, and is generally negative, is sublimated or taken over, by the Higher Mind within us. This is not a painful thing! It’s joyful! But it must be done at least once daily.

Take these simple steps. Meditate and pray with oneness as your goal–at-one-ment with the Mind of God. And they become so integrated that you live in a state of oneness more and more of the time.

Negative trends happen. It’s how we respond to them that’s important. Train your mind to respond with these steps, or whatever resonates with you. The result is that negative trends don’t last as long, and positiveness is your dominant state.

“Now may you be blessed,
May you always feel whole,
Fulfilling the purpose
That’s deep in your Soul.
–And so it is!”
–from “Harp and Drum”

Happy In-Dependence

Today in the United States, most of us are celebrating our independence–from England, from others, from everything we don’t need.

In short, it often seems more like, “Ha ha, I don’t need you, I don’t want you, and there’s nothing you can do for me… Unless of course, I want to exploit you, in which case I’ll be happy to. But remember, I’m independent!”

I’ll say no more on that; I can already feel some cringing going on, and that’s not where I’m going with this.

Independence is something we can all have! But independence from what? A common way to start a Spiritual Mind Treatment (affirmative prayer, or metaphysical treatment) is this: “I recognize that there is but one Life in this universe. That Life is God’s Life, and that Life is my Life now.” Does that sound like self-serving, egotistical independence to you?

No! The independence we seek and truly celebrate, is in-dependence of God. We depend on God, and are independent of the personal ego. In our dependence we open to true freedom, ultimate reality, and the source of all things. When we depend on the ego and celebrate our independence from what we don’t like, we have not evolved at all. We’re still in victim consciousness, like a small child who says, “I don’t need your help! I can do it myself!”

However, when we celebrate our in-dependence with God, we know ultimate Truth:

“Why call ye me good? I of myself do nothing. It is the Father within me that doeth these works” –Christ

In this dependence, we release attachment to our personal, outer identity for something better: The inner knowing, and then the outward manifestation of our at-one-ment with God-Presence.

It starts within us, always. Independence is possible! But independence from what? From all that no longer serves our Highest and Greatest Good, from negativity, from reacting to conditions rather than responding from Love.

We can still celebrate a country’s independence, or personal milestones, and do so gladly! But at the heart of our independence is the recognition that God is our Source and the true doer of all things through us.

May this be a happy In-dependence Day, for each and every precious being God has created in His image!

And as we let it be so, so it is!

igo – Metaphysical Treatment Poem

aka the ego and I

i don’t know
i wish i did
i want the answer
that i hid

i don’t care
except to find
the pathway out
of my own mind

i don’t think–
just all too much
and to this ego
i have clutched

In Truth I know
the All-There-Is
when i let go
I really live!

I know the answer
without thought
in oneness with
the Mind of God

So i let go
and I appear–
where there is Love
there is no fear

I choose the One
and live in flow
for as I AM,
through God I KNOW!
