Blessed to Bless! Thank you for sharing these inspired words!

Invocation

I call forth God’s presence, from the center of my mind. I release all negativity from the past week, and open myself to God-thoughts, inspired action, and peace of mind and heart. I allow God to work through me, and flow through me to others. I give thanks that at any time, I can bring my focus back to God’s presence, within me always. As I let it be so, so it is!

Matthew 5:1-12 (NKJV)

Affirmation

I bless God as Supreme Creator. And I bless each creation as an expression of God. My attitude of blessing is made and maintained by God. I bless others by the Power of God working through me. For each blessing given and received in and through my attitude, I give thanks. And so it is!

Sell your crap… And Live your Purpose

Sell your crap. Pay your debt. Do what You Love.

This post was written, and the accompanying video shared by Deborah Lindsey at International Metaphysical University.

Most of us have felt trapped in a life situation we’ve created, whether consciously or unconsciously. But there is a way out! After watching this video and reading Deborah’s story, I urge you to think of the spiritual implications of the lifestyle you choose.

Today I heard a sermon that said, “Your purpose in life is to please God.” I whole-heartedly agree with that statement! How that purpose happens, by what means, is different for each of us. Some are ministers, teachers, trash collectors, agents of all kinds, because it takes all kinds of people to manifest all different aspects of the one, infinite, universal God! And isn’t that wonderful?

What we all have in common, is the purpose to please God.

We can buck that purpose–God knows most of us have done that at some point, I know I have! We can let our personal sense of identity run our lives, as Adam talks about in the video. And, as he also mentions, we can let experiences be our identity. But none of these approaches further God’s pleasure, or our harmony with God.

You are not your bank account, your relationship with anyone–be they friend or foe, parent, child, significant other, students, and all the other people you’re blessed to encounter in life! This is not You! This is personal identity.

You are not the things you have, the degrees you hold, your job, your home, or anything else you identify with! You are not even the things you enjoy–music, nature, art, walking, prayer, meditation, vacations, books, food…

So who are you? What are you?

You are God!

A bold statement, and the Truth! Your ego is not God; your sense of personal identity is not God. However, your essence, your core, your Lifeforce, is God.

You are an individualized manifestation of God-Presence! You are here to bring God glory, honor, love and praise!

For as the Christ Mind speaking through Jesus said, “Why call ye me good? I of myself do nothing. It is the Father within me that doeth these works.”

He also said, “I am about my Father’s business,” and, “The Father and I are one.”

When we can truly live these things, letting them come forth through our lives, that is when we’re living out God’s purpose for our being here.

Our purpose, your purpose, my purpose, is to please God.

If for you that means getting rid of stuff, and/or debt, do that! Because no one else will do it for you! But by the Power and Presence of God, it can be done through you.

If it means something else, take your conscious awareness, mind and heart by the hand and let it be lead by God. If you need clarity, ask God! For goodness sake it’s all within you already; your only work is to, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” Why? Because “all these things shall be added unto you.”

God knows your purpose. God knows how it will be carried out through you. You may not know. It may not make sense, and your mind may very well shout out against it with all kinds of reasons why you cannot do this!

And still, your work is to seek God’s kingdom, clarity, and guidance within you, and let the Universal Power of God flow through you to bring forth pleasure, love, honor and glory into your life.

And let others see your good works, not to glorify and praise you, but “to glorify your Father which is in Heaven.”

May we each let it be so in our own lives, and give thanks that so it is!

Treatment for Love

Treatment to sublimate feelings of anger with those of true, divine Love

You are a divine being whose true nature is love.

You came from love, were created out of love, are made of love, and can experience love now.

You are one with love. You are one with permanent, unchanging, transcendent love, now and always, in this eternal moment that is your life. Through this love, you live. Within this love, you move and have your being. As love, you came forth as a human person. And in love you can choose to live, aware now of your divine nature.

May the Light of Love surround, enfold and guide you in every action, word, thought and experience of this, your life on earth.

May you feel blessed, and loved always.

May you let it be so, believing in the all-seeing, all-knowing, ever-present Power of divine Love. For as you allow it to be so, so it is.

Recipe for a Good Marriage

Mr. and Mrs. G. with Rev. Crystal

To Mr. and Mrs. G.
With my heart-felt thanks
For the honor of officiating your wedding
And for helping me heal.

In order to have a good, fulfilling marriage on all levels, it must first be fulfilling on a spiritual level. This is why I answered the call to Metaphysical ministry–to live the example of inner fulfillment, to demonstrate it through a successful life, and to support others as they look within to manifest their own success.

I focus on marriage here, because it’s been on my mind a lot lately. However, these points apply to any intimate relationship. I left my own marriage with a bitter taste. I knew that wouldn’t serve me, or anyone else. And by the Presence and Power of God, I’m moving beyond those issues to the Love I know as Truth.

It’s been my experience that when we truly desire something, the Universe moves all things to provide it! So it was with choosing love over bitterness for me. In ministerial lessons we studied the role of marriage in Metaphysics, and just today, I officiated my first wedding ceremony.

Throughout these things I’ve asked myself, that is my Highest Self, what is a good marriage? Even within individual couples, expectations vary widely. People want emotional support. Some want their partners to read their minds–which rarely works on mental power alone! And everyone has some physical expectation. This is all perfectly natural, but what’s really going on here? With the Truth so hidden by society, it’s a wonder to me that any marriages survive at all!

The question is, as ever: Where does fulfillment, love, or success come from? What creates the relationship, or marriage we want?

If the marriage is to be a true success, the Creator must be God-Mind, Universal Consciousness, the Spirit within each of us, expressing itself through this relationship.

Christ said, “Seek first the kingdom of God,” which we know to be within us already. Because, “All these things will be added to you.” All what things? Mental communication, emotional support, and unconditional love and acceptance–even when we disagree, just to name a few.

I don’t know what your good marriage looks like. I don’t know what the marriage of these newly weds will look like. But I wish each and every one blessings! I do believe there are some clues. If we have these, then we will have a successful marriage.

Attributes and Affirmations for a Good Marriage

* Positive feelings – I affirm you in thought, word and action.

* Understanding – I may not understand your behavior, but I do understand that you are following a divine path that is as valid as my own.

* Deep feelings – The roots of my feelings for you are planted firmly in rich spiritual soil.

Christ told the parable of a man who built his house on the sand, and one who built on a rock. The storm came, the floods raged. And CRASH! The house on the sand fell, providing no shelter from the storm. But the house on the rock withstood the weather, providing shelter, warmth and safety.

The feelings we have for each other must have roots. Where? Not in the physical realm, not mental roots where we think about how much we like this or that about our partners. Not emotional roots where we praise our partners for how they make us feel. But spiritual roots. We must know that between us and within us is the oneness that is nothing less than God-Presence.

* Mental communication – I open my mind to God-Mind, and it expresses through me in our communications together.

When we recognize the spiritual roots of our relationships, then we receive mental communication. It is not by our own power, but by God’s, working through each of us.

* Spiritual communication – The God in me communes with the God in you.

Beyond thought and feeling, is Spirit. It is the core of your being, and the core of your partner’s being. Aware of this, we deepen our connection and strengthen our roots.

* Tenderness – I know the tenderness of God and extend it to you.

I think this one is Self-explanatory. Let your God-Self show you tenderness, and you will know and experience it between you.

* Love – I let the Life of God love through me, and we experience Universal Love together.

Saving the best for last! This is a deep love, more profound than any words or actions can express. This is God-Love, and God itself. Love is the Law’s fulfilling, and the greatest commandment. The good news is, we do not love by ourselves! We let God love through us, and extend that love to our partners.

A good marriage has a foundation of these spiritual attributes. They are not just pie-in-the-sky, nice things to say at a wedding ceremony. They are principles, Truth we can live by, when we let our relationship with God-Within guide our relationships with others.

Namaste, and may we each let it be so!

And so it is!

Harp and Drum – Musical Poem

I wrote this poem in August, 2010, only a month after beginning committed metaphysical study. It was part of Poetry and Prayers of Unity, the week we discussed The Instrument.

The discussion isn’t included here – the poem speaks for itself, especially with the audio reading-instrumental. However, I welcome anyone’s thoughts or feelings about the poem!

I imagine it speaks to musicians, as it does to me. But you don’t need to “be a musician” to resonate with it! We are vibrational beings, and it’s as much about that as what we describe as music.

Harp and Drum

Instruments: Celtic lap harp, buffalo frame drum

The harp is a Spirit
That carries the light
Of truth, peace and wisdom
Through any dark night.

The drum is a gateway
To journey in you
Reclaiming your wisdom
Your essence of truth.

The harp is your voice
And the drum is your heart
Each working together
To help do their part.

The voice of your Spirit
The rhythm of all
The harmony sings
When you answer the call.

Your Spirit is calling
Just listen, you’ll hear
Its small voice of purpose
That says, “Cast out fear!”

For fear is a rhythm
A dissonant hum
That isn’t in tune
With your true harp and drum.

Now may you be blessed,
May you always feel whole,
Fulfilling the purpose
That’s deep in your Soul.
And so it is!
