Every Mother’s Tears

1. It doesn’t matter whether she gave birth to them or not.
Her heart knows they’re her children and a precious gift she got.
But every time she hears them cry, Mom cries a little too,
For all the taking, fixing, healing she would like to do.

Refrain 1:
She cries a billion tears of love and fear,
And through all the years may she know
That the Spirit bright shines the Light
To make a rainbow
From every mother’s tears.

2. Even when they move away, she carries them around,
And somewhere deep inside her, every mother knows the sound
Of all the hopes and happiness her children want and plan.
How she would love to wrap each one and place it in their hands!
Refrain 1:

We want to hold them tightly,
But we need to let them go
And let our tears wash over them
To help our children grow!

3. It doesn’t matter whether we gave birth to them or not.
We take care of God’s children and the precious gift we got.
And every time we hear them cry, we cry a little too,
With thanks for all the taking, fixing, healing God can do!

Based on mystical meditation and Aquarian Gospel 150, Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11: The Triumphal Entry.

Some Christian denominations take a break from the word (and hymn if they use one) Hallelujah during Lent, and “resurrect” it at Easter. Metaphysics has no preference, as many Metaphysical ministers don’t even use the word. I, however, like the way “Hosanna! Hallelujah! Amen!” sounds, so it’s included here.

Today is Palm Sunday, as well as Spring Equinox in the northern hemisphere, and Full Moon is in 3 days! May we cooperate with the God-within, Source and Creator of all nature!

This crazy merry-go-round.

This poem is based on my experiences writing songs on ukulele. But it applies to all of life! Things tend to go better when we let the Universe or God micromanage them, rather than trying to go it “alone.”

4 strings and a bundle of nerves
2 hands and a couple of curves
fingers flying and taking a swerve
All for the music inside!

3 chords and the timing is wrong
Strumming, picking, is that a song?
Play it, sing it, move along
All for the music inside!

4 strings and a barrel of fun
Worry and hurry are over and done
The singing and playing in Spirit is One
All for the music inside!
