“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
–John 15:11 New King James Version (NKJV)
Instrument: Tempo – Seagull Excursion Folk Acoustic Guitar
1. Happiness is flowing, flowing.
Blink! And now it’s going, going.
Look inside you, knowing, knowing
All the joy of Life
This world cannot provide.
It’s in the Light of Christ!
Refrain:
2. Feelings are a picture, a picture.
Oops! But not a fixture, fixture.
Find beyond the mixture, mixture
All the joy of Life
This world cannot provide.
It’s in the Light of Christ!
Refrain:
3. Experience is charming, charming.
Boom! And so alarming, alarming
When you think it’s harming, harming
All the joy of Life
This world cannot provide.
It’s in the Light of Christ!
Refrain: (Twice)
Refrain:
Christ is come, born in you,
That you may have joy,
Joy complete and full!
In Metaphysics/Mysticism Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ within each of us. It is an inner experience that, whether quickly or slowly to our perception, creates lasting outer changes. We use daily meditation as a tool for becoming more conscious of Christ-within.
In short, we celebrate the inner meaning of the outer Christmas story. We can still enjoy Christmas carols and other traditions! Because underlying each one is the joyful birth of our own Christ Mind awareness.
I illustrate this, and Christ as Love, with this song and scripture.
John 1:1-17 (KJV)
Bold added for Emphasis
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
All Because of Love – Lyrics

Given to us from above, above.
Love your God over earth, earth,
And everyone as yourself, yourself.
Love everyone as yourself.

The father’s Word of Light, Light.
We were made in his Grace, Grace,
So let it shine in your face, your face.
O let it shine in your face.

3. Ever simple and true, true,
Christ alive within you, you.
Glory made manifest, manifest,
In us the Word was made flesh, made flesh.
In us the Word was made flesh.
Refrain:
love, it’s all because of love.
Refrain:
Because the world was made in love
By Christ and father God
To start and end as one.
It’s all because of love, love.
It’s all because of love.

In loving memory of Kenneth E. Myers, Jr., The Smilemaker 🙂
October 3, 1951-December 3, 2015
1. There is always something you can do,
A way to give encouragement
And share the best of you.
With a simple smile, saying,
“I am in this, too.”
O there is always something you can do.
Refrain:
2. There is always something you receive,
A fuller cup, a cheering up
By letting others see.
Your smile is a living thing,
So plant that tiny seed.
O there is always something you receive.
Refrain:
3. There is always something you can be,
A joyful spark to light the heart
Of everyone you meet.
Your smile tells the story
Of a Spirit that is free.
O there is always something you can be.
Refrain:
Refrain:
So Let your smile shine bright
With laughter, love and light
In all the colors of the stars,
Because your smile reaches far.
So let everybody see this
Blessing of the Spirit.
And no matter where life takes ya,
Be a smilemaker.
Advent, the preparation time before the spiritual celebration of Christmas, is about getting ready for the Christ Child. In the Old and New Testament, as well as The Aquarian Gospel, Christ’s coming was foretold. Those who were aware knew He was coming. It wasn’t a total shock; not everyone heard the news with disbelief.
Similarly, anyone with mystical awareness throughout the ages, knows that Christ is coming. However, like the Spirit, It can be celebrated and experienced any time, in any moment, not just in the Advent/Christmas Season! Mystically, Christ Mind, Consciousness, or Awareness is re-born within us whenever, wherever, and however we surrender our earthly ego identity enough to “notice”!
So, my Advent songs focus on the birth of Christ Mind within each of us and can be used at any time of year to bring ourselves to a higher state of Mind. Jesus was a Christ, not the only Christ – not the only blessed, anointed mind!
Faith of Christ – Lyrics
Instrument: Brio – Red Cedar Concert Ukulele
1. When you need a healing
And have no idea how you’re gonna get it,
Let the Christ anoint your mind
By giving God the glory and the credit.
And your thoughts won’t understand
The story that you tell.
But by the One that looks beyond,
Your faith has made you well.
Refrain:
2. When you think you need a change
Of people, things or places where you’re livin’,
Lift your mind to seek and find
The Heaven in the Spirit you’ve been given.
And your thoughts won’t understand
That good already is.
But there’s a spark of Light inside
To help you see the bliss.
Refrain:
3. When your expectations need to
Step on back and take a breath of air,
Look up! because in every tiny detail,
God is working there.
And your thoughts won’t understand
The words I say to you.
But listen with your Spirit,
And you’ll realize the truth.
Refrain: (Twice)
Refrain:
Because through Christ in you,
Good Will is always done.
In God you live and move;
Forever you are One.
A mystical Thanksgiving (thanks-giving) song, reminding us that no matter whom, or for what, we give thanks, ultimately we give thanks to the God-Presence within ourselves – and all things.
And so, Jesus gives thanks. He gives thanks for basic, simple, and sometimes apparently inadequate resources, not out of fear and insecurity, but out of knowing who He is, having confidence in relationship with the Father. He does not give thanks with the attitude of, “Well, I’d better be grateful for the little bit I have here or God might take even that away.” He does not give thanks in the sense of, “I’ll make myself give thanks because that’s what we’re supposed to do regardless of the circumstances.” He does not even give thanks as some kind of magical formula that will manipulate the situation into a better outcome, saying, “If I give thanks for this small piece of bread the right way, then something miraculous will have to happen and I can get out of this mess.”
No, Jesus gives thanks from an essential understanding of who He is, and because He wants others to know Him, too. In turn, we can give thanks because we know who He is and who we are in relationship with Him. –Dr. April Westbrook
The full article, while written from the perspective of Jesus the person being the life-giver, is still applicable to the Christ Mind that one experiences in mystical awareness.
May we give thanks as Christ did, knowing who we are in relationship with the Father!
Refrain:
Give thanks within, and outward call;
The Presence of the Lord is here.
So greet the Only in the All.
Give thanks within, and outward call.
Through every earthly rise and fall,
In thought and word and deed, be clear.
Give thanks within, and outward call;
The Presence of the Lord is here.
1. Give thanks to those you love and know,
Who let the gentle Spirit flow.
For God is in each precious face,
Imparting to you peace and grace.
Refrain:
2. Give thanks for all upon the earth
That meets the needs you’ve have from birth.
For every demand supplied
Is made and formed by God inside.
Refrain:
3. Give thanks in any circumstance,
As God is leading in the dance.
For orchestrated in His Mind,
Each step is in eternal time.
Refrain:

To save us from our sins.

‘Cause the Savior’s already within!
And we’re

1. Clicking, clacking, going places.
Ticking, tracking, timing races.
Slipping, slacking, losing paces.
Mind that train of thought.
2. Clicking, clacking, mind a-spinning.
Ticking, tracking, time’s a-winning.
Slipping, slacking, patience thinning.
Mind that train of thought, hmmm, mind that train of thought.
*Refrain:
That we may chug, chug, chug
With the love, love, love
Of God, the engineer.
And we may ride, ride, ride
With His peace inside,
On the train of life He steers.
Because no matter what
Our lives have brought,
We cannot be derailed.
We are conducted on
God’s train of thought
By love that never fails.
3. Clicking, clacking, ever burning.
Ticking, tracking, all a-churning.
Slipping, slacking, o the yearning!
Mind that train of thought, hmmm, mind that train of thought.
4. Clicking, clacking, pressure growing.
Ticking, tracking, changes blowing.
Slipping, slacking, letting go and
Mind that train of thought, hmmm, mind that train of thought.
*Refrain:
And we may chug, chug, chug
With the love, love, love
Of God, our engineer.
And we may ride, ride, ride
With His peace inside,
On the train of life He steers.
Because no matter what
Our lives have brought,
We cannot be derailed.
We are conducted on
God’s train of thought
By love that never fails.

Refrain:
[After all,] we’re still here, so pass the cheer!
And leave that glass of fear behind!
Come on, get up, and fill that cup
With Love, the sweetest wine of life!
1. We can be sad, complain, and spread the pain,
But no one wants to know.
It’s all because they’re just like us
And rather Spirit’s flow!
Refrain:
2. Whatever hurt and doubt we’re pouring out
Ferments and rots, you see.
The fruit of Life is Love and Light,
So let it blossom free!
Refrain:
3. All the world’s fruits we bear cannot compare
With what the Spirit brews!
So lift your glass, this too shall pass,
And quench your thirst with Truth!
Refrain: (Twice)
Come on, get up, and fill your cup
With Love, the Spirit’s wine of life!
